While continuing to promote cooperation between Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in the area of cultural heritage protection, the Department of Cultural Heritage held a business meeting of the Baltic Heritage Committee in Kaunas on 14-15 September this year. In addition to the afore-mentioned states, representatives of the Polish National Heritage Board attended it in the capacity of guests.

A variety of aspects around cultural heritage protection in the regions (organisational structure, planning, funding schemes, cooperation with other bodies of cultural heritage, control system, key projects undertaken and planned, etc.) were discussed at the meeting. Not only did the attendees share relevant information and their work experience, but also got introduced to the heritage sites in Kaunas.
